Handcrafted Hardwood Cutting Boards & Turned Goods — Made in Oklahoma

Handmade shelves and cutting boards

All About Me

I've always enjoyed working with my hands. Even as a kid I remember helping my dad work on our car, or household repairs, and when I was 11 or 12 and our roof was being replaced I was up there laying shingles with the roofer. After high-school I served in the US Marine Corps for 4 years as an infantryman, and was helping our vehicle mechanics fix our vehicles as much as I was tearing them up, which is a feat for a 16 ton armored vehicle. Woodworking became a therapy for me, The attention to detail I take when making a cutting or charcuterie board is second to none. Baxter's Boards loves making your projects as much as you'll love using them.

Our Philosophy of Work

We believe all lawful work is appointed by God and done before His face.

Colossians 3:23 (ESV)
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”

We labor as stewards, not owners. Skill, opportunity, and materials are gifts entrusted to us by God’s providence, to be used carefully and without presumption. Our work is offered in gratitude, not as a means of earning favor.

1 Corinthians 4:2 (ESV)
“Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.”

Each piece is made with patience and care, valuing durability over speed and substance over trend. We believe excellence in ordinary work honors God and serves our neighbor.

Proverbs 22:29 (ESV)
“Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings…”

We conduct our business plainly and justly. Our pricing reflects honest labor and true materials, without manipulation or deceit.

Proverbs 11:1 (ESV)
“A false balance is an abomination to the LORD, but a just weight is his delight.”

We affirm that outcomes belong to God alone. We plan carefully, work diligently, and receive results with humility—neither boasting in success nor despairing in difficulty.

Proverbs 16:3 (ESV)
“Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.”

Our aim is not self-expression or self-justification, but faithfulness. We seek to make things worth keeping—useful, durable, and shaped by integrity from beginning to end.

1 Corinthians 10:31 (ESV)
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
